Geez you and your stereotypes are really quite awful. You REALLY think all girls only like gossip, fashion and other superficial topics? Could you be more offensive? I'm sure you could, but please don't try.
I prefer to discuss video games and computer topics over celebrities and facials ANY DAY. You seem to think that being yourself = being boring to a girl. You might be borig to SOME girls, and fascinating to others. What happens if, after pretending to be someone you're not, she finally finds out the REAL you and is turned off. You just wasted your time. You should've been yourself to begin with. Being yourself doesn't mean being socially incompetent.
Girls, like all humans, come in many different flavors. Some will like what you have to say, others will not. We have all sorts of interests and abilities and cannot be lumped altogether into one collective that is only attracted by deceiving smooth talkers.
You do make one valid statement however: and that's to keep the conversation going. Talk about things that interest you, AND ask what things the girl is interested in. It's how you both get to know each other and find out how compatible you are. If you have nothing in common then there can't be a relationship anyway.
