Yeah, you sort of right that Cal Poly is somewhat a commuter school but i have met few people whom lives on campus and they pretty involved with school activities and clubs. I guess you just go seek out those opportunities.
Also if you need information regarding your major, you can always trying emailing few professors that specialized in that area. Don't be afraid to ask them and sometimes they become valuable resources.And if you need info about housing, try contacting student housing as well.
Don't know much about Fresno but I'm sure Cal Poly is closer to a metropolitan area than Fresno (Los Angeles is less than 10 miles away from Cal Poly Pomona). Of course, this is a Cal Poly forum and our opinions might be biased... but Good luck |
