you're right, i should add some of the good things about poly. while none of them relate to the business school other than the many great professors the university chased away, i agree it's a beautiful campus and most of the people are friendly.
maybe when there are some new leaders hired things will start to improve. people say fullerton was not as good under president cobb as with president gordon, so everything goes in cycles. i have friends at USC who say president sample has raised more than five billion (with a B) dollars and has elevated the trojan nation from the university of spoiled children to the top fifteen in the nation in just a decade. similar steps have been done with president doti over at chapman.
so it can be done. maybe as an old man i'll see cal poly as one of the elites again. |
