sorry, i don't agree if you mean "okay" to mean something like we've seen in our ladies program that is a five time national champion once again one and done and still going nowhere in the post paul thomas era, or our woeful three time national champion baseball program that hasn't even QUALIFIED one time for the dance in fifteen years in the post john scolinos era.
that is NOT okay.
i've been in quite a few locker room discussions and even close enough to a few huddles over the coach k. years. he is a masterful motivator that we otherwise don't have. no knock on the staff but they aren't at that level. coach bannon is a great recruiter (he found and wooed the legendary mr. clean for example) and all are strong on the Xs and Os. but it's the intangibles that make a difference. |
