MAT 106 and PHY121/L

exactly how hard are these classes.. im looking at my required GE's and these classes strike fear into my heart...

Math 106 Trigonometry can be easy or difficult depending on your math skills. But if you are a diligent student and not procrastinate, you should pass the course with no problem. Be sure to check gradecalpoly.com for trigonometry professor. Some professors do suck. Haven't taken physics yet.

I took PHY131 and it wasen't so bad. PHY121 is the same thing but without calculus; so it's easy. There are a lot of formulas... but its physics about everything in the real world you can observe easily... like gravity... and rotations... and stuff, easy conceptionally.

Architechures don't need to learn calculus? Hmm... Must use a mechanical or civil engineer to calculate strengths of materials then... how odd.

Architecture students do take a class that covers simple statics. I believe PHY 121/L is a prereq.
They don't have to take any other "engineering" courses. That might explain why a coworker of mine (when I worked at an electrical engineering firm) said "when we get plans from the architect, the wiring is usually wrong.

Sorry I didn't make myself clear. Architects don't "do" wiring, but they do draw in where all the wiring (conduits, circuit breaker panels, etc.) would go inside the structure.

Sometimes their plans don't meet the plethora of electrical safety codes, and we as electrical engineers have to inspect the blueprints and make changes as necessary.
