Next update on Arcade?!?!

when will we get new games? Also, i remember that on another forum that i went to, when you would be the champion of a certain game, it would display it on each of your posts, kind of like bragging rights or something. what do u think about that kayce... would u enable this?

I like to keep the number of arcade games as it is. Those were the best games available.
But if you know of a classic game you must see on the board, let me know.

Cal Poly Arcade has been removed. I don't plan on adding it back on. Hope you guys had fun for the time being.

we'll... it kinda sounds like the book "1984"... where things are done without giving any reasons... u just accept it.

Why were they removed? and why were they even there then 2 begin with?

The arcades were first added to see if members were going to use it frequently.
But it was my mistake to add in the first place. I should have not added the arcade because it didn't go along well with a college discussion board. But most importantly, the arcade created new bugs on the forum software, in which would cause database errors. Hope that answers your question JPWRana.

we'll i think it was a good idea because i thought it would attract more members... thats what it did 2 other boards that i visit.... and the more hits u have, the more u can charge for ads, the more $$$ u can get... heck, it always comes down 2 business.

Viewing the arcade statistics, it showed only the same players participating on the arcade. But most importantly, the arcade hack interfered with other modifications of the board. Currently, there are no CPM ads on the board to support the board.

Sorry, can't add the arcades as it will interfere with other existing hacks.
I can create interesting threads here and there but it will seem as if I am the only poster on the board.

So why not create new threads and share anything interesting you found online or offline.
And besides, everyone is out doing there own thing on their summer vacation. Have a great summer vacation everyone!

With the upgrade of the forum, it is now possible to add the popular arcade back online! We are in the process of the upgrade and the addition of the arcade is estimated to be released before the Fall quarter along with other neat features. Stay tuned.

Admin, I was playing Pacman and got up to level 7 with a real high score and when game ended my score didnt save because I was logged off.
And add some more games please.

"Your score won't be stored in Database because the Arcade only saves users top score per Game."

Sorry to hear that. It is because logged in members are logged off after a period of inactivity.
Try clicking "Remember Me" checkbox before logging in.
