Default How do I leave Cal Poly Pomona

My original goal was to try and transfer out to UCI, but at the time I didn't know it would be harder to transfer from university to university. Also I think it isn't worth the money if I am just going to get GE classes. Is there anyway I can just go to a CC or JC rather than staying here? Do I have to tell admissions or just don't register for classes. Will it have any impact on my transcript stating me as a dropout or some sort? I've tried to look up answers on the web, but can't seem to find any. I was hoping you guys can give me some advice and help me out with some answers.

Thanks.

Best advice is to go to the admissions office in the pointy CLA building and also consult with the JC transfer adviser. I think the proper way is to notify admissions that you plan to drop out of Cal Poly Pomona so that you can attend a JC. Both Cal Poly and jc course credit can be applied towards the transfer to UCI. I don't think it would have a negative impact on your resume as long as your grades were good before you leave Cal Poly.

Let us know the result. Good luck!
