stevena830 will become famous soon enough
Default Can someone help me out?

I am a Business Admin. major at Cal Poly Pomona. I feel like the education here is abysmal and want to transfer. I heard from my Poli Sci teacher that transferring laterally to another cal state, like SLO, will be a bad idea when I try to get a Masters degree. Has anyone else heard this? Does anyone have an opinion? Because the advisers here sure don't. Also, can someone in the Business Admin program at SLO tell me about it? Is it strong? Are there internship opportunities through school at SLO? Any first hand info any of you can give me would be appreciated.

Also does anyone know how easy it is to transfer from polytechnic to polytechnic? It should be cake right?

This is not first hand information nor do I have the facts to back it up but why would it be a disadvantage if you decide to transfer from Cal Poly Pomona to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo to complete your undergraduate with a high GPA to get into a masters program? From an admission officer's shoe, I would gladly accept a competent student who earned a stellar work experience, top exam score, and high GPA from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. I don't think they would care much that you transferred from Pomona to San Luis Obispo.

Good luck and don't give up stevena830.

my friend transferred from slo to poly. classes are conducted different, certain classes are similar, others are not. you'd have to talk to someone at the other school. you also should have a real good gpa. it also depends how far you are into the program.
