![]() | Name of Event: 2nd Annual ASI Photo Contest “Say Cheese!!”- Accepting Submissions Date: Now – May 14 Location: Bronco Student Center, PRSM Department Room 2325 Brief Description: Open to interpretation, this year’s theme is “Say Cheese!!” The competition is open to Cal Poly Pomona students. Entries must represent the theme. Only one photograph per person and must not be older than 3 years. Entries must be 8x10 inches and may be color, black & white, and digital. Winning entries will be announced at the show opening May 27th and will have their entries displayed in the Bronco Student Center’s Bronco Exhibit Gallery. Kellogg and his love of Arabian horses including riding and skill demonstrations from Cal Poly Pomona students. Name of Event: Now Chinatown – Film Showing Date: May 3 Time: 3-5p.m. Location: Bronco Student Center, Ursa Major Suite A&B Brief Description: Steven Dunning’s film, released in 2002, is about a young girl who is sent to America to work to support her family in China. In grappling with her Chinese traditions, she struggles to become independent and make a difference as an immigrant. The film has received reviews by major media outlets such as the Hollywood Foreign Press and The Los Angeles Times. It has also garnered a number of awards such as Best Picture by the Long Island International Film Expo and Grand Jury Prize at the New York Independent Film Festival.
