Okay No joke I am at the gym 10 min before the game with wireless connection which is a first in school history. Early analysis the broncos are suiting 9 players which means they have a deeper bench than at Irvine. The Band is warming up and you know its time for the season to kick off. Depending on the time aand if I remember maybe I will give an half time update on the game. Heck give media credential and let me seat in the scoring table. I can give in depth coverage. Its game time and time to take my usual seat.

Broncos beat Vanguard 54-43.

All I got to say is the Broncos defense won this game. This team will rely on their defense this season because the offense does not look that great. larry gordon had his usual game with 13 pts and 9 rebounds and scare when he was down for a minute with an injury. The surprise was the freshman center Fells. He had a double double with 12 pts and 11 rebounds. after this game should get more playing time over the veterans center.

Positive- Defense. zone defense look good in the first half holding vanguard to only 19 pts I think.

LG look like seriously not hurt because play in second half. If hurt for a period of time the broncos are in trouble

Fells- Double double in first college game pretty good.

rebounding- they out rebound vanguard 48-24 and they had three 6-7 plus guy and one of them was 6-10 good job by the big man.

Negative- Offense look lost at times.

no outside shot this game. look like thompson is the guy but coming off an injury to finger dont expect the stroke for a couple of games.

agree. Defense played well, not much offense. Seem like we don't really move around, we come down the court and play a similar set with pass to the wing and roll back to he middle with a hand off pass.. in all not much movement. but a win's a win. Fells is a big body and box out pretty well.

thanks for the reports, guys. more than two days after a home game and still no box score. this is pitiful. no stats either for the ladies volleyball team in the ncaa tournament. so not much to go on, but if we can't shoot this will be a long season. beating two NAIA rummies proves very little. the big boys like azusa won't play us.

Broncos didnt play well at times but the defense was impressive to hold a team that averages 90 ppg to less than 50! LG had a bad wheel for the entire game and saw limited PT because of that. He still managed to be the best player on the court and almost had a double double. We dont call him Mr. Double Double for nothing.

I agree with you Jay. Where the hell is the box scores! Like I mentioned before CPP needs to contract Paul Helms during bball season. This is outrageous!
