![]() | man, i'd like to join you jay. just caught that huge upset of kansas. the big dance is wide open. looks like the broncos have the easiest bracket in the middle sized dance. don't think coach k. will have them looking ahead to final four tho. when does lakdod make his picks? tuesday? |

![]() | sounds like the bronco nation must hold its collective breath as lakdod studies the statistics on this indiana team we play in the elite eight. they are the ultimate dark horse. the only eight seed ever to last this deep into the dance. zero playoff experience versus the national runnerup loaded with returnees. so deep in fact that the starting all conference center comes off the bench. on paper this one looks like a blowout. but the wizard of pomona, that history graduate student, has not spoken. hey, what ever happened to hall? did you chase him off, x-man? thought you guys made peace! |

![]() | its going to be a closer game than alot of people expect. St joesph is underdog and want to continue their magical run to the championship like the broncos did last year, but i think the broncos defense will somehow stop st joesph. Broncos by 4. |

![]() | heading over to roundball HOF after breakfast, then going to see some bronco hoops. this puma team has seen nothing like the smothering cal poly defense. the kind of ball they play in that league led to their scoring 105 points in their regional final. unless they hit two thirds of their treys all day long the score will be bronco ball. poly 58, st. joe 52. |

![]() | defensive wise there giving troubles to st joesph. offense look good. they have nobody who could stop fells and jahn leaving open three and easy layups when st joesph doubles the two big man down load. if they dont jahn and fells are taking there big guys with ease for two. i think in the second half need to slow the pace down and bound it inside to jahn and fells. if they continue to do that and play decent defense it should be a victory for the broncos |

![]() | left the last quarter early but both clubs look tough. bentley more disciplined so better to play the georgia boys again. i believe we set an ncaa elite eight record by allowing st. joe only three baskets in the first half, one of them at the buzzer by the way. that's the kind of smothering bronco D i was predicting. pumas shot a blistering sixteen per cent in the first half. we were up by 34 when coach k. cleared the bench for garbage time. good deal, the starters get extra rest for the final four. the indiana boys had no answer for our two post men, so coach k. frequently put both of them in at the same time and dominated inside. a couple observations over at the basketball hall of fame. one bronco jersey is displayed there, predictably from our five time ladies national championship program. the surprise is that it's aprile powell's jersey, and she only played one year and then left campus. the other one way more amazing. you think NBA players travel in style? back in the late 40s all the eastern teams had to exit the train in the middle of nowhere in northern indiana and WALK some distance to a bar in the middle of the night, throw a rock at a window to wake up some bus driver to take the knicks, celtics, etc., down to fort wayne to play the pistons the next day. reason is there were no planes or trains to fort wayne!!!! |
