I am eligible for scholarship for the year 2007-2008 year. But my friends are telling me that if I receive scholarship, the amount of financial aid I have will decrease by a huge amount and in the end, the amount of grants I get are close. Is it worth applying for scholarship then? They require one essay and two essays written by recommendations by Professors, which is a hassle to me because of the exams right now and i'm not familiar with any professor. But if it's worth it, I will try.

I also read somewhere online that scholarships do cut in into your financial aids. It is best to go seek the financial aid office and get their answer.

Despite some work involved in getting professor's recommendations, it would be worth it if you do get selected. Not only will you earn free money for tuition, you can add the scholarship info on your resume.

The only thing you would lose out in your case is the study time for the upcoming exams. Good luck Uranus. :tup:
