Default WTB: BIO 110 Essentials of The Living World

I'd like to buy ESSENTIALS OF THE LIVING WORLD W/CD & OLC by George B Johnson for BIO110 with Christine Brady. I think the bookstore's selling it for around $65. If anyone is willing to sell it for less, reply to this thread or PM me, please! Thaaaaaaanks!

I'm thinking it's the 1st edition. For the kit, the online bookstore says 1 for edition, CP 2005. The book by itself doesn't have an edition number.

I just checked the Bronco Bookstore website and the Living World textbook by George Johnson is now 5th edition.
I took Biology 110 two quarters ago and I used the 3rd edition. How'd it jump to 5th edition? Oh well.

I got a copy of a biology book from last fall quarter, it's completely changed.

I've got a heckling this biology department is into the whole exploiting students funds for the publishers benefit. Most of the books are loose-leaf bound special cal poly only editions. These are good editions for first time purchasers because they're $10-15 cheaper new, however there are almost no used editions available. I'd take a used book over a new book for $10.

At the same time it looks good because they're trying to make an effort to reduce our costs, but it doesn't translate that way. The best way to get cheap books is to just keep them the same for years and years and years -> how much does introductory biology change anyway?

Exactly. But we are living in a capitalistic society so money circulates rather than stagnate.
