Question Active Teaching?

Hi, I'm going to be a senior at North Hollywood High School next semester, and I was hoping I could pump some information from the student body itself about Cal Poly. I watched some of the "on the chair" videos, and the professors seem pretty cool. Anybody have any bad experiences with grumpy professors or T.A.s/grad students teaching class?
