Instructor: Professor Sepeedeh Ahadiat
Course: Accounting

Professor Ahadiat is a nice professor that cares for the student. I had no problem approaching professor Ahadiat during the office hour and was real helpful and welcoming.
Professor Ahadiat goes step by step in the lecture and can be beneficial for some students and slow for others. It was my first accounting course so it was beneficial. I recommend Professor Ahadiat for accounting.

I read some good feedbacks about the accounting instructor and I'm taking Professor Ahadiat for the Winter Quarter 2004.
I liked the step-by-step lecture type.

She's a pretty good teacher, most of the class consist of Powerpoint Lecture, and presentations.... She is very nice and is willing to help you anytime she is in her office...

The Online course gets in the way... but most people can deal with it

There's an online course?

I have registered for professor Ahadiat accounting course but didn't see anywhere mentioning about online. And what do you do during the lab hours?

how is his/her grading style? partial credit? is she/he a hardass when it comes 2 grading? how about attendances, hw length and quality?!?! scantrons? essays? how many midterms?

For accounting 207 and 208 they have an addtional online class, usually its 207a or 208a. The first day they'll tell you to register for that class. However, i thought it wont let you register unless you got 207a.... registered.

Sigh, she's a good grader, but most of your grades will be determined on 2 test and quiz's (both scantron), there a bit hard... but if you read the chapters you should be fine.

For attendance you can leave occasionally but she will notice if you are missing classes, cuase she does tend to memorize ppl's names pretty quick. Also your group has to present every week... so you shouldnt miss that many days...

There's no hw but presentation are the HW, and there is extra credit. Theres 1 paper and that's a group paper. Just try to get a good group and you should be cool....

Not really online courses, they're the IAL Lab modules (software that comes with the accounting book) that you do at home. Those are time consuming, but there are ways to get around it.

i HIGHly recommend takin her. Throughout class she constantly would say that she was the easiest accounting teacher you have evertaken at cal poly which is true. Her exams are very easey. She gave us 2 exams and 1 midters. Besides that she is a complete "airhead" her accent can be annoying at times but besides that i would recommend her.

Aside from her accent [which isn't too bad], I'd say she's a wonderful professor to take for Accounting. She teaches directly from powerpoint slides, which can be found at the author's website. She's extremely nice and very kind to her students. I would recommend her in a heart beat.
