Smile Turnbull, Harold F. ANT112 Anthropology

Professor: Dr. Harold F. Turnbull
Course: ANT112 World Culture via the WWW and ANT201 Human Nature Human Affairs
Website: http://www.csupomona.edu/~hfturnbull/

Anthropology 112 World Culture via the Internet is an online course, meaning everything is done using the WebCT website, hence the course title. A textbook is required and is very expensive (over $100 new in the campus bookstore) because of all the photos and pictures.
ANT112 is an easy GE course and Dr. Turnbull is a laid-back, knowledgeable professor. Using WebCT, you do need to watch the video clips of the professor lecturing about the topic. Students have the option to visit the classroom in which he will be lecturing during that class period but if not, the lecture will be recorded and posted on WebCT.

The class consists of multiple choice quizzes, a midterm, a final exam, and a project which requires web designing. There are many extra credit assignments and opportunities readily available throughout the quarter.

I recommend Dr. Turnbull webct course if you need a web-based class.

boring, boring, boring professor
The lectures were unbearable but I finished the class with an A! The $100+ textbook was fun and interesting to read with all teh colorful photos. A good GE class if anyone is interested. Easy class too just lots of fun reading assignments.

Default Easy Class

This had to have been the easiest class I took at cal poly. Come to think of it...ALL the anthro classes I took were easy. FYI: You don't need the book.
