Post Building 6 Safety Policy

Dear CBA Students,

We have a new procedure in Building 6 to ensure safety for our students and staff. Students often sit on the floor on both sides of the hall with legs extended. This blocks the hallway and creates a safety hazard. We have now identified “Designated Waiting Areas” where students can safely sit and not endanger others walking in the halls. Please observe the following policy which you will see posted on the Building 6 walls.

Thanks for your cooperation.

Stair and Hallway Safety Policy
For your safety and convenience the College of Business Administration is establishing the following safety practices regarding the stairs, hallways and doorways in the building.

· Do not sit on the stairs, block access to stairs or doorways.

· Sit only in areas which are posted as “Designated Waiting Areas”.

· Do not sit in hallway areas which are not posted as indicated above.

· Do not sit in front of doorways or in the path of swinging doors.

The College of Business Administration’s Faculty & Staff will be asked to assist people in complying with these simple safety practices.

It is anticipated that everyone will voluntarily comply with these safety practices which are designed to allow people to safely exit the building during emergencies and prevent people from being injured as the result of tripping or falling down stairs. Your cooperation is requested. Anyone found in violation of this procedure will be subject to CSU student disciplinary procedures established pursuant to Section 41301, Title 5, of the California Code of Regulations.
